Description
Fatal Vision® Concussion – Program Kit
This introductory kit includes two (2) Fatal Vision Concussion Goggles and five (5) activities that help you demonstrate the simulated effects of a concussion.
Modeled Impairments
Visual disconnect, hesitation, disorientation, dizziness, and confusion
Experience
The activities in this program kit in combination with the Fatal Vision Concussion Simulation Goggles allow participants to understand the effects of a traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body. The program kit encourages participants to report a concussion, take measures to prevent a concussion, and follow a doctor’s prescribed recovery protocol should they sustain a concussion.
How It Works
The program kit includes 5 activities designed with input from trauma doctors to test hand-eye coordination, visual acuity, balance, and cognitive ability. Participants are asked to perform the activities in their normal state and then with the Fatal Vision Concussion Simulation Goggles. While using the goggles, participants will experience simulated TBI effects such as dizziness, visual disconnect, and confusion.
