Innocorp Wins Prestigious Innovation Award at Chamber Event

Verona, WI-based Innocorp, ltd. was named the Greater Madison Most Innovative Company at the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce’s Nex7 Stage Event on Monday, Nov. 13 at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.

Innocorp was nominated for the award by Acumium, a Madison-based digital marketing and web development agency. Innocorp recently partnered with Acumium to build a new, secure e-commerce website to drive business growth. “Acumium has always worked with growing brands that hold innovation as a core value,” says Dan Costello, CEO and Founder of Acumium. “We’re proud of the partnership we’ve built with Innocorp and applaud this distinguished win.”

Michael Aguilar, President & CEO of Innocorp, presented a five-minute pitch for his company at the event alongside six other Dane County finalists. Votes were cast for the most creative, cutting-edge business, and finalists were selected from an impressive lineup of Wisconsin entrepreneurs including Underground Meats, Acme Nerd Games, Bendyworks, and MobCraft Beer. After hearing all the pitches, the crowd then voted for Innocorp as the ultimate winner.

“We are incredibly excited and yet humbled, knowing the level of talent and innovation of the companies that were competing alongside us,” says Aguilar. “We are motivated by what we saw to continue elevating our game and pushing our limits of innovation.”

Innocorp Wins Award

More than 20 years ago, Aguilar and his business partner developed the revolutionary Fatal Vision® Alcohol Impairment Goggles after Aguilar’s son was nearly killed by a drunk driver. Since then, Innocorp has grown to become a recognized leader in the development of impaired driving awareness and prevention tools and campaigns used by safety professionals and educators in more than 90 countries. Aguilar and his staff at Innocorp have developed and introduced an array of additional product lines and complimentary training services to meet growing demands, especially in the traffic safety market. SIDNE® (a simulated impaired driving experience), Fatal Vision® Concussion Goggles, intoxiclock® (an interactive tool that shows how different types of alcohol affect blood alcohol concentration), and the Fatal Vision® Marijuana Simulation Experience are just a few of the many successful products Innocorp has introduced over the years.

“The basis of innovation is identifying a problem and finding a solution, and now Innocorp is exporting its solutions to countries around the world,” says Zach Brandon, President of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce. “Out of a potential tragedy, Michael Aguilar and his team have built an amazing company that epitomizes the kind of imagination and problem-solving ideas we are seeing across the Greater Madison region, and we were proud to present them with this year’s MIC Award.”
